Hello Auntie Sophie.
we've been having fun this week!
but firstly... mummy went mental at the nosey old bag in boots... mummy was buying some more of the calcium tablets she has to take to make sure her bones and our bones are stong. the cashier after looking mummy up and down asked mummy (very rudely) if she should be taking them. mummy said yes so the lady told her she should be drinking glasses of milk and not taking supplements especially in her condition. mummy wasn't too pleased with the shop assistants version of a medical degree, so told her... if she'd like to get her the milk then mummy would drink it and show her exactly why she had to take calcium supplements. and if she was finished with this not being any of her business she'd like to buy the supplements she so very much needs and if purchasing them was going to be a problem she'd happily discuss the issue with the cashiers manager. mummy got to buy her vitamins and now refuses to go to the nosey ladys till point!
daddy says the silly lady clearly hasn't read the same book he has, where on the first page it simply says
'don't f**k with the pregnant lady'
so back to us...we started off being fairly quiet, a few of our usual little wiggles and still making mummy have the hiccups in the morning. yep still 5.30am.
Then on Thursday we made mummy feel really, really tired after working a 12 hour day on Wednesday with no breaks. daddy told her off and said she had to look after herself and us and we told her off by making her tired and stupid all day.
when mummy got home on Thursday, her and daddy had dinner and then mummy just vegged out on the sofa in her pj's. she calls them mamma jammas!
once she was nice and relaxed, we started our fun new game. mummy's arms were resting on top of our tummy so Bean 2, thats me at the top, I kicked hard enough for mummys arm to move! she then asked daddy if he wanted to feel a Bean... she put his hand in the right place on her tummy, and I kicked that too, lots!
mummy and daddy laughed, and daddy said he'd remember that forever.
Hey what about me, Bean 1? they tried feeling my kicks down here, but I've got so much else in the way that I have to give a really good boot for them to feel it.
On Friday morning we both were having our usual early morning wiggle and daddy got to feel both of us kicking, he told us not to kick too hard and hurt mummy, but she said she doesn't mind. So Bean 1 has more space for kicking when mummy is laying down.
Auntie Sammy and mummy had lunch in the sunshine on Friday and mummy was trying to make us move, but she was so squished over sat on her silly carrier bag (so her bum didn't get wet on the grass) that she could barely move herself let alone get us to. She was quite pleased that she didn't need any help getting up though, even if it wasn't the easiest thing to do. Mummy has decided there will be no more sitting on the grass, she will have to find a bench.
when they got back to the office, we eventually had space to move about a bit more. once we were definitely going for it, Auntie Sammy put her hand on mummy's tummy and we both gave it a good kick!
this is what mummy wore on Friday, she says its her favourite bump outfit because it makes her bump look big and she doesn't feel like a whale in it...
so this is our new game when mummy is nice and relaxed, we kick to let her know that we're growing big and strong so that her and daddy don't have to worry about us.
today we all went to the beach with Auntie Vicky (daddy's sister) and Uncle Jack. mummy put sun cream on all the bits that we showing, her neckline arms and face. she had a nice thin white cotton vest on that makes our bump look lovely and was nice and cool too. we all had a nice time, ate a big tasty picnic and had ice creams and lollies. then the big old fluffy clouds came over and made it a bit cold, so we went back to Grandma and Grandads house in New Milton for cups of tea.
when mummy and daddy got home, mummy changed her top and noticed that her bump got a bit of a tan even through the vest! she knows that her skin is super sensitive to the usn right now and that she has to go careful as it can burn quicker while she cooking us and also might leave scars if she gets red, but no one thought she'd tan through her clothes!
we're all going to chill for the rest of the weekend and we're going to practice our stretches and leg kicks.
no more appopintments for a few more weeks, but we'll have some more next month.
will write again soon

21 weeks lots of pictures
Hi Auntie Sophie,
we had 2 lots of pictures this week because twin 1 on the bottom was camera shy on Wednesday.
so Wednesdays effort only got twin 2 on the top bunk...
it's my leg, really, really. I'm just super bendy, I don't have loads of room as I'm tucked up under mummys ribs, right up over the top of her belly button. and the little blob above my head is my hand, I'm waving 'Hello!' mummy and daddy say hooray that I've grown into my nose.
so we had our pictures taken again on Friday
this is twin 1 on the bottom
I have turned right around today. not only was I face down having a nice sleepy on Wednesday, but up until a few weeks ago, my head was also the other end! I've got my head the same side as my twinny now. we've both got our heads on mummys left side.
I was sucking my thumb whilst my picture was being taken, and I was good enough to look right at the scanner when the nice lady wanted to check my face. mummy and daddy got to see right up my nose!!!
mummy and daddy are also pleased that I don't have either of the family noses yet too.
so everyone is happy that all our measurements are ok and as they should be. twin 1 on the bottom is a tiny bit bigger, but right now every millimeter counts when we're only 19 cms long!
we're quite happy with that much excitement for one week. we move around a lot, especially when mummy is being still, and we do like to wake her up at around 5.30 every morning. usually top Bean makes mummy hiccup just before she wakes up and sometimes daddy says it happens really loud in the middle of the night! and if that does't work, then bottom Bean has a squish around on mummys bladder. that gets her out of bed soon enough.
we have to wait until May 11 for our next picture and we'll be so much bigger then, can't wait to see what we look like then and show you.

20 weeks 1 day
Hi Auntie Sophie,
we hope you've kept safe from any trouble from the tsunami.
mummy is on countdown now, she only has ten weeks left at work, then has 5 weeks of annual leave and then we should be here about 3 weeks later!!
she spent last week doing what she called the ten week dance, daddy says its a bit like the I Am Evil Homer dance.
mummy saw her doctor on Wednesday who said she doubted mummy would be able to stay at work for more than ten weeks anyway as she's going to get bigger and bigger!
we are wriggling around a lot more now, and last week we made mummys clothes feel really uncomfortable. she wore her jeans to work for 2 days, we don't think anyone would have dared tell her off for that. So today we have all been shopping, daddy bought her some lovely new tops to show off our bump and mummy had to order some more trousers on line as she says every shop only sells maternity trousers to sodding midgets!
mummy is having daily issues with getting her shoes done up.
last night we all went for dinner, it was a 21st birthday mummy and daddy were invited to, they said it was the tamest 21st they'd ever been to. they couildn't really compare it to either of theirs as they both say they can't remember. we hope that silly mummy and daddy aren't so forgetful when we arrive.
so this is mummy in her party top, she says we'll be able to camp under it next summer!
mummy is a bit worried about fitting through door frames now she's seen this, with hopefully 16-18 weeks to go, mummy and daddy aren't sure how much longer she's going to be able to fit in the bathroom doorway for this picture!
mummy tried a new coffee this week, it's a cocoa cappucino, we don't like it so mummy doesn't like it. daddy does though so he won't have to share!!
mummy and daddy got another moses basket for us, a bouncy chair, a play mat and a bottle warmer from mummys friend who lives nearby.
so, thats about it this week. we're going to keep wiggling to make sure we grow nice and strong. mummy says if she had to draw a line of how we're moving, it would look like waves and every now and then like lightening. sounds pretty cool to us.
we're having our pictures taken on Wednesday, mummy and daddy are really looking forward to seeing us again. mummy and daddy still can't decide if they want to know what flavours we are... we know ha ha!

19 weeks, 2 days. First class and the halfway point.
Hello Auntie Sophie.
Sorry we're a bit late with this weeks entry, mummy was very tired the last few evenings.
we are now as big as large mangos, and are about 7" each, thats not counting our legs as they're still tucked up. We'll know our actual size in another couple of weeks when we get our picture taken again.
This week, we've started to grow hair on our heads and get eyebrows. we've also got a greasy layer over our skin to stop us getting all wrinkly like prunes whilst we cook properly. everything is now where its meant to be, we just have to get nice and big and strong. we're building up our layers of baby fat so we don't look like stick insects when we arrive, and our eyes are on the front of our heads to we'll be able to see you on skype then too.
mummy bought us a moses basket on Monday, it's got a pink sheet in it but until we have our next picture, we don't kow if it's the right colour for both, one or neither of us! it's pretty big, and daddy thinks we'll both fit in there to start with. they're going to get another one so there is somewhere safe for us to sleep in downstairs and take us out in the garden for our first few trips there.
mummy and daddy had their first parenting class on Thursday. this one was multiple pregnancies. they got to meet lots of other mummy's and daddy's who are having 2 beans and even met 2 who are having 3 beans! mummy says in all her days she has never seen such pregnant ladies, and they were both only 23 weeks along.
There was a tour of the neonatal unit, where it's quite likely we'll have to go when we're born. It shouldn't be anything to worry about, all twinnies go there because they arrive a bit early and sometimes need help with feeding, getting rid of jaundice, or sometimes with a bit of breathing until strong enough to do it.
there were lots of babies in there and all were being looked after by a gazillion nurses, that made mummy and daddy feel much happier incase we do have to stop in there for a few days.
if we arrive and everything is tip top, we won't need to go there at all and can go and stay in mummys room with her. The midwife said twin mummys get their own room, mummy is very happy about that.
back in the classroom the midwife used playmobile characters to show all the mummies and daddies what the arrival day is going to look like. because so many people are needed, the normal delivery rooms aren't big enough, so we'll all have to go into one of the theatre rooms anyway. mummy and daddy have spent the rest of the week having to explain that it doesn't mean we'll be coming by sunroof, it's just because they need the space for all the people.
so the people in there will be...mummy, daddy, 1 midwife, 1 midwifes assistant, 2 pedeatricians with 1 assistant, an aneathetist with 1 assistant, 2 surgical staff with 1 assistant, and the consultant on standby. thats 13 people in the room even before we arrive!!
there was a lady who came to talk to the class who has twin boys, she had to wait 40 minutes after her first one arrived before the second one made his entrance, mummy told us we're not to keep her waiting for that long. daddy had to drive home because the class didn't finish until 9.30pm, and that's waaaaay past mummys bed time. she was super sleepy for the next 2 days.
mummy and daddy went shopping on Saturday, mummy really needs a new coat as we're making all the coats she's got too small, and mummy says it's colder than a witches tit here at the moment. we're nice and warm so we don't want to get as cold as one of those as it doesn't sound very nice. Anyway, she didn't have much luck, the last one she tried on made her say some rude words about the fact that not all pregnant women had stumps for arms and was she meant to effing well freeze from the elbows down or what?? Daddy took her for a nice coffee to make her happy again, we like mummys nice coffees.
mummy did however manage to get some lovely maternity pj's, as whilst she loves the jammies daddy bought her for christmas, they are just getting too tight. it makes mummys sleeping a bit rubbish and she doesn't want to burst the seams of her christmas jammies. so here is a picture of mummy in her new pj's...
she wore them to bed last night and said they were super comfy, and it was a shame she couldn't wear them to work!
ha, ha!! mummy just swore when she saw this picture a bit bigger than it is on her phone. mummy and daddy just realised that there is less than half a doorway left!!!
mummy did find a really comfortable chair on saturday afternoon and asked the lady to please let her know if they're ever getting rid of it as she'd buy it. the lady thinks mummy is a funny mad woman as the chair was the one at the hairdressers in front of the sinks! mummy has been swishing her hair the rest of the weekend and is pleased her fringe isn't getting caught in her eyes every time she blinks.
Sunday morning... mummy and daddy got up nice and early and went to the cinema to see Paul. they had the whole place to themselves and they laughed lots and lots. mummy laughed so much it made her tummy shake and made us bounce around a bit. we didn't mind because we were already awake. we like it when mummy laughs, we hope we'll make her and daddy laugh lots.
daddy is still singing to us, and chats to us lots, we like that too, we wiggle around so he knows we can hear him, it's not making mummy so sick now though.
so thats it for this week.
we hope you're having fun and enjoying your new job.
