two become One!!

Hey Auntie Sophie,
we made it, one whole year old!
we started this year getting just about every bug going but we're much better now. much to mummy and daddys relief.

it was daddys birthday at the end of january so we helped mummy to get him some cufflinks with our finger prints on them, he liked them very much but hasn't worn them yet in case he loses them. funny daddy!

mummy and daddy dressed us up in bunny outfits for easter and grandma made us little woolly hats with bunny ears, and one for our friend from hospital Joe.

we wore them to another friends birthday party.

 this is us all on a really big swing together, we went to a park with some other twinnie friends and their mummy and daddy. it one a rare sunny day!





we've been up to loads of growing up.  we're in our big car seats that face the way we're going, we like that very much! although mummy and daddy have put the seats in the car and not left them in the living room, we did think they were really cool tv seats at first!





we can both crawl like speedy little crawling beans now and we're really good at walking but neither of us are brave enough to let go of hands yet. Noah can stand without holding on, he tries to walk but forgets to move his feet so falls over, a lot. we like to clap at penguins, mummy and daddy and anything that we think is good. we like to dance, especially to the mickey mouse clubhouse song.

mummy and daddy say we're ever so funny now, apparently florrie does funny things on purpose but noah is accidentally funny. we make everyone laugh a lot.

things we can say: baby, ball, book, cat, daddy, is it, look, mummy, that, yes. not all of them are very clear but mummy and daddy know what we mean.


we were meant to go to marwell zoo for our birthday but there was soooooo much rain that mummy and daddy didn't think it would be such a good idea so we all went to bournemouth to the aquarium where the critters were meant to be in lots of water! when we got there grandma had made us some more hats...

we did get to go to marwell a few days later with mummy and daddy, we love the penguins very much so mummy and daddy bought season passes so we can go any time. sometimes if its sunny mummy takes us to see the penguins after lunch.

we're going to have our immunisations next week, mummy has been reading all the other twin mummys comments on the twin group page and everyone says their twinkles were really poorly the week after, mummy isn't looking forward to that, but the mummies have recommended she gets in lots of chocolate to get through it. we had out one year check and all is very well. Noah is 21lb 15oz and 98cm tall, Florence is 24lb 11oz and 97cm tall, the health visitor lady was very pleased with us and mummy said its nice to finally have a health visitor who isn't a complete arse!

we had our birthday photoshoot with Jules and Sue who did mummys bump shoot. we had lots of fun and mummy and daddy have picked out the pictures and are just waiting for the finished set which will go up in the lounge. they're hoping to have a birthday shoot each year so we get a collection. this is one of the pictures they've chosen

we are very excited to be seeing you and mike soon and getting new pictures. mummy says shes sorry we don't write on here as much as she'd hoped but is glad you get to see our pictures on facebook. mummy says she hopes that we're still making funny faces for you to see.

Where has 7 months gone?

Hello Auntie Sophie,
we're going to start with a picture, a very special one....

mummy says this is one of her favourite pictures, of when we met you and Michael at Christmas. even if we all look a bit worried! but it was very lovely to meet you and we enjoyed the cuddles ever so much xx

mummy says you've been keeping up with our pictures and her funny comments on facebook, but we can tell you some stuff she hasn't.

apparently twins are public property, everyone stares, smiles, says hello or even stops mummy from moving forwards so they can stick their heads in our pushchair to see us. we think its funny but it gets right on mummys tits, especially if she's trying to get back to the car before the parking runs out! Florence is pretty good at crying at old ladies though, mummy loves that. she really likes it if Florence can do that just after Noah pulls his charm attack with his big eyes. he draws them in, she sccares them off!

we go to twins club most thursdays. we've made lots of other twinny friends and mummy has made new mummy friends too, there are some who live nearby so we often go to the pub together for coffee for the mummys and milk for the twinnies. the mummys get to share their twin war stories and say its nice to know they're all in the same boat and can help each other out.

before christmas lots of the mummys met at a big cafe for a twinvasion, there were over 20 sets of twins and their mummys and some extra grandparents too. there was a big picture in the local paper!! this is a picture our grandma took...

 we're in the middle with our friends rowan and stefan and their mummy tessa. it wasn't as noisy as you might think. but mummy said there were some old ladies just wanting a quiet cuppa who looked a bit shocked!!

mummy takes us out for lots of walks around where we live which we like and at the weekends we go out with daddy as well, we like the big family days. every other sunday nanny and grandad come over or we all go to them, its cuddles all day and mummy and daddy only get to see us for nappy changes!! we see grandma a bit, she helps mummy to look after us so she can put all our 'chuffing' laundry away, mummy says it makes her head a bit calmer if she can put our clothes away once in a while.

every room has been taken over by us, mummy and daddy are already looking at some new houses to move to this summer. we've decided that we'll just take over more rooms in a new house, tee hee!

flashy cat is our friend now, she doesn't run away when we cry anymore, probably because we don't cry much now. she rubs her head against our rocker seats and makes them rock again, we like that, especially when we're watching waybuloo, our most favourite show ever. mummy and daddy use it as their emergency back up if we're getting pickly before dinner, it gives them 15 minutes to get everything ready.

we're very good at sleeping, and Florence is even having a go at not waking up so much now. mummy and daddy are getting some sleep finally, they both say its a bit strange to wake up feeling almost normal some days!

we now have food too, baby porridge for breakfast, purees, fruit and plain toast for lunch and then puree for dinner, sometimes we don't want to wait for the next spoonfiul, we're too hungry so we shout at mummy and daddy until they get the next one in, mummy says its like feeding baby bleedin birds, we don't know what they are but guess they're some sort of twins.Noah thinks toast is amazing, but Florence thinks mummy is trying to poison her, she clamps her mouth shut really, reallty tight until she can't see toast in mummys hands any more then she'll open up for other food or milk. we still have lots of milk though. mummy says her secret weapon is a warm bottle of milk, its sooooo yummy we can't finish a whole bottle without falling asleep before the end.

mummy and daddy have enjoyed puttnig us in fancy dress costumes, its a good job we don't mind, here's what they've done to us so far....

 apparently they're already laughing about easter, and aren't sure if they're going to embrace valentines or not! uh oh!!


mummy still hasn't been able to read the present you got for her. we think its very cool that you printed all the blog up until the last entry into a book for her. she tried to tell daddy when he came home but she cried again, she said its happy and lovely tears but they sound really wobbly, she had lots of snot too!! mummy often says 'oh god I'm having another wobbly day, I've been so lame since those critters hatched, Im such a knob!' we don't know what any of that means but it usually follows her eyes going all leaky.

we're signing off for now as its way past our bedtime and mummy and daddy will be up to check on us in a minute, we'll be in trouble if they catch us on here! so for now, here's a picture of our happy faces at 6 months old, we can't remember but we think mummy was singing something really funny. we'll be 7 months old next week but will try to write again before our birthday!!
